Determined!
I am a teacher right? But first, I would like to consider myself a life-long learner. So to teach, I must learn. I just completed my 3rd year of teaching. The first 2 years, I taught ICT2. I came from a Business background: years of experience in both the public and private sector. I thought teaching would be fun, RIGHT? I thought teaching would be easy, RIGHT? UH HUH. It has literally been the hardest, yet most fulfilling, rewarding thing I have ever done in my life. Until you have actually experienced it, I cannot explain it. Most people would have never thought of me as a teacher. But I absolutely LOVE it.
Now, the reason for my post. I am taking a graduate class online to get a new endorsement to teach a computer class, okay. It has been a little challenging. I had to learn how to record a video and explain it using Jing and Camtasia. That may seem easy to you, but I only had one week to learn it and do it. I was frustrated, but I did it. YEAH ME!
So, then there is this BLOG thing. I really, REALLY want to blog. I want to be ONE of THOSE teachers who have the cute blogs and have thousands of followers and give all this great advice and great resources. The problem is I don't know where to start. I am a broke teacher trying to put two kids through private school. UGH! So, I decided, why should I pay someone when I can do it myself?
I already have a blog, but the truth is it looks awful. So, starting today, you will begin to see a slow transformation of my blog. I have realized that there are tons of videos on how to write the HTML code for every section and how to get the ICON buttons on Pinterest. So I will start there. As you can see, I actually uploaded the Social Media Icons - with a minor problem - but HEY - I DID IT ALL BY MYSELF!! So stay tuned and please follow me - I need some love - I am kind of lonely without all my kiddos this summer. I guess that is another benefit of a teacher - you are never really alone at school. You are surrounded by hundreds of children who love you and need you. :) YOU ARE LOVED! Miss B
